The Story:

The rider is holding up the sheep as they water and rest up. They’ve been trailing all day and will soon bed down on the bedding ground.  This keeps the sheep together and prevents some from wandering off.

The Red Angus cows is a hardy cow on the open range. Her baldy calf at her side, out of a Hereford bull, is the optimal cross.

The Story:

Plumbago Canyon road breaks off of Hwy 34 on the way to Wheatland, Wyoming just before you crest Morton Pass.  We travel up this road 6 miles to our place.  like any place, each day brings a new setting with the light casting it’s cloak upon the country side.

The Story:

This Rambouillet Ram shows his grand presence.  Hardy and tough, these sheep are found in many open range flocks across the western states.

Sheep run on the open range in the west are typically a white-faced wool breed. Used for hardiness, meat and mothering ability these ladies survive rugged climates and easily handle the migratory life of the range flocks. Merino Rambouillet, Targhee and Columbia are often the breeds found on the big range operations.

Packaged in clear archival bag with backing board.  Each order is packaged out of my studio at home.  I live quite a ways from town so please allow longer than you would think for your order to arrive.  The price we pay for me living out in a very rural area. Thank you for understanding!
